Fantasy of Lights on Union Street

Union Street's annual kick off of the Holiday Season begins December 3, 2011.

The Snow Queen will lead a sidewalk parade of children bringing toys to donate to San Francisco children's charities as they welcome Santa and his Elves in front of the historic Cudworth Mansion at 2040 Union Street.

All manner of costumed characters entertain the crowds until dusk when all of the buildings light up with twinkly white lights making Union Street a magical fantasyland for young and old alike. There will be jugglers, live ponies dressed up as reindeer, a monkey, face painters an balloon artists.

All the exquisite Victorian shops up and down Union Street will be all gussied up in twinkling lights with magic in their windows. Union Street for this wonderful evening is a magical backdrop for Santa's arrival.

Donate toys for needy children through the SF Firefighters Toy Program. Collection barrels will be available on Union Street at the event and throughout the holiday. This is truly a holiday tradition that should not be missed.
